If, and only if, you are working with iPhoto on a Mac . . .

Some of you are working on Macs, and you may find these instructions for iPhoto helpful. They'll let you create a folder full of scaled-down photos for posting online, sending via email, whatever you might need a set of shrunken photos for . . .

1. "Right click" anywhere on your desktop. (If you're on a laptop, a "right click" is a click while holding down the "ctrl" key.)
2. Select "new folder," and name your new folder.
3. Go to iPhoto.
4. Go to File --- >> New Album
5. Your name album will appear in the list of folders on the lefthand side of iPhoto. Name it, if you'd like.
6. Then drag your pictures to the new folder in iPhoto.
7. With all the pictures copied (by dragging) into that new folder, click on the folder to select it. It should be just highlighted.
8. With the folder selected, go to File --- >> Export
9. When you click export, you'll actually have a chance to shrink your images. I'd do that: change the width to about 300.
10. Click the export button.
11. Select the new folder you made on the desktop.
12. Click okay.
13. And . . . at long last . . . you have your images, shrunken to a more manageable size, ready to be selected and uploaded to Flickr.

There's a way for you to find the images without exporting them this way, but this method has the advantage of making them easier to find and giving you the chance to shrink them a bit.
